DISCOVER THE BAHAMAS
Just off the East coast of Florida lie the Bahamas. The Abacos, in the northern Bahamas, are a series of islands and cays (pronounced keys) that run for 120 miles – the majority of yachts are based here and it’s a charter paradise. The Bahamas are a great all year-round sailing destination and suit any type of holiday. Manjack Cay is a perfect spot to spend time paddleboarding and swimming, rounding off the day with dinner on deck under the night sky. Green Turtle Cay was founded in the 18th century and is full of historical sights and an abundance of restaurants – most of the transport round the island is in the form of golf carts and bikes. Visit Pig Beach on an uninhabited island in Exuma – it is famous for its swimming pigs; jump into the water and enjoy the craziest experience ever! Treasure Cay has the most amazing soft white sandy beach which stretches for 4 miles along the coast and is considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean. Take a short hop over to Elbow Cay (where the vibe is New England meets the Caribbean) and a climb up the iconic red and white striped lighthouse that the Bahamas are famed for.

This compact and relatively undiscovered little country in the South Adriatic will not disappoint. Squeezed into this eastern Mediterranean gem, you will discover rugged mountains, lakes, beautiful beaches and medieval villages. Cruise the Bay of Kotor and see the coastal churches and old villages – stop for a spot of lunch or coffee. Sandwiched between the mountains is the walled town of Kotor. Amble through the maze of cobbled streets and admire the Venetian architecture – this is a place packed with heritage and romance. Another beautiful ancient town is Budva – founded by the Greeks and later fortified by the Venetians. Explore the narrow cobbled streets of the old town and discover the stunning beaches of the “Budva Riviera”. Don’t leave without seeing Sveti Stefan, just outside Budva (best viewed from the sea as it is closed to all but paying guests of the resort). This picture-perfect 15th century fishing village islet (connected to the mainland by a causeway), with its profusion of terracotta rooftops, is the most photographed place in Montenegro! Tivat is the home of the magnificent multi-million-pound superyacht marina, Porto Montenegro. Here you can experience 5-star dining and incredible facilities whilst watching the yachts come and go. If you are after a little history, a visit to the Naval Heritage Museum and a tour of an old Yugoslav submarine is good fun.
